Plantation BUMN Holds Joint Ceremony for RI's 74th Anniversary. INACOM together with three other companies, namely Holding Perkebunan Nusantara PTPN III (Persero), PT Asuransi Jasa Tania (Jastan), and Dana Pensiun Perkebunan (DAPENBUN) held a Flag Ceremony at Agro Plaza, Jl Rasuna Said, Jakarta (17/08). The ceremony was held with solemnity.The participants and guests of the ceremony had gathered in the lobby of Agro Plaza since the morning. Then they all started to line up. The flag hoisting ceremony was carried out at 07.00 WIB.The ceremony was led by the President Director of DAPENBUN, Edwin Sinaga acting as the ceremony inspector for the 74th Anniversary of the Indonesian Independence. At that occasion, the reading of the Proclamation Text was delivered by Rahmat Akmal, Director of Sales and Operations of INACOM, some employees from INACOM acted as the ceremony protocol and the flag bearers in the 74th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence ceremony.The event was attended by the board of directors of Holding Perkebunan Nusantara, INACOM, Jastan, Dapenbun, and all employees of the four companies. The ceremony went smoothly and was closed with prayers. This joint ceremony was held for the first time and after the ceremony was completed, the Inter-Company Competition was continued.

So far the government is still expected to accelerate the B30 mandate for which road trials are currently underway. The government is also encouraged to expand the use of palm oil directly for PLN power plants.
“If all domestic absorption programs run well then Indonesia’s dependency on the global market can be reduced,” Mukti said.
Meanwhile price-wise, during the first half of 2019 the global CPO price ranged from US$492.5 - US$567.5 per metric ton with an average price in the region of US$501.5 - US$556.5 per metric ton.
In June palm oil production showed a 16% downward trend compared to May, from 4.73 million tons in May to 3.98 million tons in June. Meanwhile Indonesian palm oil stocks in June remained at moderate levels of 3.55 million tons. (T2)

Independent Palm Farmers Encouraged to Form Groups and Partnerships. “This partnership should be written in a partnership agreement as a written document and witnessed by the relevant Guidance Agency,” said Head of Domestic Marketing Division, Directorate General of Plantation, Elvy, at the Cooperatives of Palm Oil Farmers Meeting for Sustainable Palm Oil Development at Hotel Novotel Bangka, late July 2019 which was facilitated by the Management of Palm Oil Plantation Fund (BPDPKS).
In the seminar, it was revealed that Local Government of Bangka Belitung Province had followed up the mandate of Ministerial Regulation No. 01 of 2018 through the Governor Regulation No. 14 of 2019. The dissemination of the Governor Regulation has been carried out and well received by both oil palm farmers and mills. Local Government of Bangka Belitung Province provides 1 (one) year opportunity since the Governor Regulation is issued where FFB to be processed by the mills should be delivered through the farmer institution, including the farmer cooperatives. To accelerate the establishment of this independent institution this program was also associated with PSR program data collection and facilities provision.
Assistant Deputy for Agriculture and Plantation, Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, Dewi, said, it is necessary to establish a good system in the business process between plasma cooperatives and companies as their core, or for independent cooperatives (not having partnership yet), they should also be encouraged to partner with the core company so that the cooperatives will not sell their FFB to the buyers or the DO owners, thus farmers can get reasonable FFB price. This partnership is also important due to the impact on the quality of rejuvenation activities carried out by the cooperatives.
At the end of the Partner’s Meeting, the Indonesian Competition Supervisory Commission (KPPU) said that the regulation that underlies KPPU in the supervision of Partnership is Law Number 20 of 2008. Should there be any potential violation in the business competition, it can submit a proposal to the Head of KPPU cq KPPU regional office by providing a detailed written chronology and attaching the identity. When having a partnership, make a good partnership by implementing the principles of partnership. (T2)

He also said that the commitment to improve the governance of palm oil plantations to equal the sustainable development goals globally is done through many methods, such as the improvement of Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO).
As the sustainable standards of palm oil plantation governance in Indonesia, ISPO has the same goals as global standards, such as reducing deforestation, reducing greenhouse gas emissions from changes in land use, and obedience to other regulations, such as labor and human rights.
“The improvement of ISPO adopts the values in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDGs are a global development agenda agreed upon at the United Nations which is to be realized by 2030,” said Togar. (T2)
