The commodity's price then rose 0.80% or 20 points to 2,512 ringgit per tonne at 10.02 WIB.
In trading on Monday (23/5/2016), the price of CPO closed down 1.42% or 36 points to 2,492 ringgit per tonne, after opening in the red zone.
The increase in the price of palm oil in early trading today is in line with the sluggish performance of the Malaysian currency. The ringgit exchange rate was seen to depreciate 0.73% to 4.11 ringgit per US dollar, after opening with negative movement.
