Rubber price closed higher though in a smaller range of 0.13% or 0.20 points to the level of 157.90 yen per kilogram (kg), after opening with a gain of 0.32% or 0.50 points at the level of 158.20 yen per kg.
Positive movement of rubber price at today's trade closing is in line with the gain in the price of oil.
The price of July WTI oil contract increased 0.18% or 0.09 points to US$49.26 per barrel at 1:30 pm WIB, while Europe benchmark oil, Brent for August contract was also seen gaining by 0.26% to US$50.17 per barrel after the OPEC meeting failed to reach an agreement regarding the production target.
Yesterday's trade (2/6/2016), rubber price also closed higher by 0.32% or 0.50 points to the level of 157.70 yen per kilogram (kg), after opening with a decline.
